My mixed media paintings are guided by a deep love for the natural world—its rhythms, its quiet intelligence, and its untamed beauty. Through layered techniques, abstract shapes, and expressive marks, I invite drama and mystery into each scene, allowing suggestion to matter as much as detail.
I thrive on experimentation. By pushing the boundaries of my materials and process, I make space for spontaneity and surprise—elements that remain visible and alive in the finished work. Each painting is a conversation between my intention and intuition.
In recent years, I’ve begun weaving Ojibway text into my artwork as a way of honouring and reconnecting with my maternal Anishinaabe heritage. The words I choose emerge from my inner landscape, reflecting my emotional state and mindset as a painting—or series—unfolds. They are both personal markers and quiet storytellers.
I am, unapologetically, a nature nut and a bird nerd, with a background as a formally trained Terrain & Water Specialist—knowledge that subtly informs the way I observe, interpret, and translate the land into visual form.

Brag blurb; I’ve won many, many, awards at local, Provincial and National levels. I’ve been featured on Television, I’ve been featured in Magazines, I’ve been interviewed numerous times for publication. I’ve painted over 1100 paintings, eyes, faces, feathers, fur, grass, branches, buildings, people and everything in between… and I’m still painting every single day! (Oh, and 99% of those paintings are in private collections all over the world, not in my basement 😂)
