I love spring! There is a magical time between snow and the coming of Blackflies. That is when you see these beautiful plants tucked away on the forest floor. They are mysterious and I always feel alive after a long winter indoors out in the forest. I’ve chosen the Ojibwe word for Alive which is Bimaadiziwin to embrace this wonderful spring ephemeral and to keep my connection to my Anishinaabe heritage.
