Red Tailed Hawk, titled “Red Glow”

$80.00

5” x 7”

I love going for day trips and small adventures.  I find the easiest way to spot these beauties is on a warm spring day, driving down the road, and keeping an eye on fence posts and electric lines and posts.  On our recent driving trip to visit family in Florida, we spotted 22 the first day driving down!  They are a sight to behold if you get to witness one as it launches downward like a missile to strike its prey.  I tried to evoke a sense of mystery in this piece, inspired with early spring buds and reddening branches.
