Spruce Grouse, titled “ Quiet in the Forest”

$125.00

8” x 10”,
I love to hike, and flushing a Grouse whilst hiking  is a common occurrence in the forests of Haliburton.  The Spruce Grouse has very similar habits as the Ruffed Grouse, it loves pecking and scratching on the forest floor.  It prefers younger conifer forests with lots of dense underbrush rather than older more mature forests where it can easily be spotted.  I have to thank New Brunswick Photographer Dan Leblanc for the reference for this painting.
