Common Grackle, titled “One of Many”

$125.00

8” x 10”

I love painting iridescent feathers. It’s a unique challenge and you have to get your colour and values correct.  No wonder I find Grackles beautiful, they are in the same family as Redwing Blackbirds and Orioles! Depending on the light, a Male Grackle can appear purple, pink, blue, or green.  I have a friendly flock that visit me every day with the Blue Jays to find the choicest peanuts from what I offer them. They talk and chatter to me the entire visit!
